Kausalya Devi sells fruits for a living. With a small loan of Rs.5,000/- as working capital she purchases fruits from the wholesale market and sells it at a profit. This loan has increased her stock, business and the resultant profits. She finances the education of her children through the income from this small business. Binda Devi regularly attends the group meetings and repays the instalment without fail. Hawker: Sells Brooms and Neem twigs
Sarita Devi has availed a loan of Rs.5,000/- for her business. Neem twigs are a traditional tooth brush used in this part of India. Sarita Devi, before availing loan from SAIJA had a bad experience of availing loan from a local money lender and had to pay an interest of 10% per month. Microcredit from SAIJA has been a boon. Through her small business she has been able to generate Rs.300/ income per day. She proudly informs that she has been able to start-off a business for her son and has acquired a house of her own.

Microcredit from SAIJA has been a boon to Munni Devi. She previously procured the vegetables on credit from wholesale market at much higher rate eating into her margins. With a finance of Rs.5,000/- she now can bargain a good purchase price to increase her selling margins. She runs her family from the income of this business and is confident of increasing her business in near future through more finance from SAIJA.

Fish Hawker Group:Uma MaaThis small fish hawking business is a bread-earner for her family. Her husband has been incapacitated through an accident, and she runs this unit to sustain her family. She thanks SAIJA for assisting her through the loan of Rs.5000/- she has received.

Saraswati Devi

She admits how microfinance from SAIJA has changed the economic status her family. She mentions how credit from other sources including money lenders had almost made her family beggars. Now she plans for doubling her capital, also savings for the marriage of her daughter. She is very hopeful about her bright future and is all praise for the Microcredit scheme of SAIJA. Her mother-in-law joins-in in praising her and the change that has been brought through her endeavour and Microfinance.
Putli Devi

She proudly informs that income from her business now has generated employment for his son and husband. She can also now pay rentals. She plans to have a house of her own through savings from her business. She recollects how her family had been exploited by money lenders with a 10% interest per month. A small finance from SAIJA of Rs.5,000/- has changed the financials of her family.
